The Futureheads are BACK.

We're pretty excited.

Single of the week

Here at Itchy we've always been totally in love with The Futureheads. From Decent Days and Nights to Hounds of Love, we are superfans.

We were particularly enamoured with their rendition of Kelis' Acapella on Radio 1's Live Lounge back in 2010, so when we heard news that their next album will be ENTIRELY a capella... well, we had to sing a little song of happiness. (For those of you who are not music geeks, this means that the album will not feaure any instruments, just pure, unadulterated vocal harmonies.... yum.)

The album consists of a capella versions of old Futureheads classics (we can't wait to hear Meantime), along with covers (Black Eyed Peas, anyone?) and folk classics. It's not out until April 2, but we were impatient to hear some... so here's Meet Me Halfway, the first single from the album:

We're also bloody excited that The Futureheads will be playing the following shows in April:
2nd: BRIGHTON, Komedia
3rd: BRISTOL, Colston Hall
4th: LONDON, Union Chapel
5th: LEEDS, Wardrobe
6th: STOCKTON, Georgian Theatre
8th: GATESHEAD, Sage
9th: GLASGOW, Oran Mor
10th: BIRMINGHAM, Glee Club
12th: NOTTINGHAM, Glee Club
13th: MANCHESTER, Royal Northern College of Music

See you in the front row!
