Our Top 5 Things to Do in London this Weekend

Something for everyone.

The weekend has come around again so fast. So, what are your big plans for those two days of freedom? Itchy's got all bases covered. We've picked our top five things to do in London this weekend - check it out:

1. Party like it's 1952
Well, The Lexington may look pretty posh but it's the venue for our favourite DJ, Nineties Mike (from Indie Bingo) and Club 27/11 indie music night with Model Society. Doors open at 9:30 and it's only £5 (£3 before 11pm), which is not bad for a Saturday night in Islington. We've been promised music from Arcade Fire, Ash, Friendly Fires, Mystery Jets, Supergrass, and other bands (in alphabetical order). If, like Itchy, you have trouble finding a truely Indie club night in London then check out the event page on Facebook. See you at 4am.

2. Take a trip on the Thames
You can now set sail with SupperClub, Notting Hill for only £20 for brunch on the Thames. They're celebrating Queens Day on The Golden Flame with a full DJ set from the SupperClub DJs and a stylish bar. The boat leaves Temple Pier on the Sunday at 2pm and tickets are available from ViewLondon. Definitely the way to dance the day away with a difference, and you'll be deposited back on the pier with enough time to sober up for work on Monday - how responsible is that.

3. Go for Pan Asian in Clapham
Aquum on Clapham High Street now serves fresh pan Asian food. Itchy sampled it on Tuesday and absolutely loved it. Get a vegetarian platter to share, or if you're more peckish go for the whole shebang - noodles, rice, curries, all prepared freshly on the premises. We actually fell in love with the green tea ice cream, so if you've got a sweet tooth just have a couple of scoops of that to accompany the delicious cocktails. (We recommend the Hibiscus Kiss - decadent champagne, pear vodka and elderflower decorated with a pretty flower... one for the ladies!) You don't even have to worry about finding somewhere to go afterwards, as your dining area turns into a nightclub as the sun sets... ideal.

4. Pop to the cinema
We know it's been raining all week, so how about cosying up in a nice dark room and watching some moving images? There's loads on offer at the moment - from Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (actually way better than it sounds, trust!) to The Avengers, you're sure to find something to please any taste. If you fancy a bit of luxury, head to the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill for sofas, wine coolers and comfy footstools, or if you're on a budget try the Prince Charles cinema in Leicester Square, where tickets are reduced if you buy a yearly membership (for just a tenner!)

5. Laugh out Loud in Camden
With our exclusive reader offer you can get 2 tickets for the price of 1 to Foster's Comedy Live at The highlight, showcasing the latest comedy talent on Friday and Saturday night. PLUS a free drink each AND free entry to the after show party... sounds like they're literally giving it away. This weekend you can catch Jeff Stevenson, Damian Clark, Paul Pirie, Ben Lawes, David Longley, Lee Camp, Eric Hutton and Rob Deering - a band of funny men. Click here for details of the offer.
