Seth Lakeman is not one of those young upstarts who have jumped on the rickety, mud-splattered folk bandwagon. He has been talented for years. Itchy has seen him perform before, in a sunny field in Oxfordshire one summer at Truck festival, and frankly, it was glorious.Seth has one of those voices that throws you into a coma of daydreams. His songs rouse your emotions until you are completely captivated, and find yourself stamping your feet as well as clapping, and in dire need of a straw hat.
His fourth album, Hearts and Minds, is released on June 14th, and covers the traditional personal issues as well as political and social messages. The guy's a thinker.
