Nottingham Food and Drink Festival 2012
Rumbling stomach: check, trousers with plenty of give: check...

Itchy knows how to prepare when a mahoosive food festival rolls into
our city; rumbling stomach: check, trousers with plenty of give: check,
12 inch plate a la Alan Partridge: You betcha.
Back with a bang for its fourth fabulous year, Itchy highly recommends anyone with taste buds and a nose that actually works to attend The Nottingham Food and Drink Festival in The Market Square, from the 4th to the 8th of July. Itchy has been practicing our best wine glass swilling for the newly added beer and vino sampling area; hic hic hooray.
Itchy often likes to stalk celeb chefs at book signings, cook offs and when they are trying to enjoy a quiet coffee in Starbucks, but this time we can enjoy live demonstrations from the foxy Richard, erm, Fox, as he brings his knowledge of Itchy’s two favourite things; beer and food, together for a festival feast not to be missed.
If, like Itchy, you’re normally tied up in the day time having a fight with the photocopier when copying your own face, then you can enjoy the festival’s numerous events at venues around the city throughout the week.
Itchy’s pick of the pack include cocktail master classes at Fat Cats, which we’ll be following with a viewing of Tom Cruise’s same name film at Screen 22. Itchy also recommends loosening your belts for a 6 course gourmet meal at Tonic, and getting your Danny Zucko on for the 50’s themed diner at Homemade Café.
Nottingham Food & Drink Festival runs from 4th-8th July in Nottingham’s Old Market Square, and in various venues across the city centre. For more information visit their website.
